Fiendish® Therapy is the private practice of Dr. Jaiyant Cavale, MPhil, PhD, a clinical psychologist registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (CRR No. A32093) and the New Zealand Psychologists Board (Registration No. 90-07466). The practice is operated by Fiendish® Solutions Private Limited.

 

The name “Fiendish” originates from The Fiendish, an art and literature blog founded by Dr. Jaiyant Cavale in 2008. In 2014, it was formalised as Fiendish® Solutions Pvt. Ltd. What began as a platform for cultural and philosophical commentary through a psychodynamic lens evolved into a dedicated vehicle for serious clinical psychological work. The company now focuses exclusively on psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and other targeted psychological interventions. 

 

Dr. Jaiyant Cavale’s clinical approach remains informed by the same rigour and intellectual scepticism that defined the original Fiendish® project: an uncompromising commitment to examining the deeper, and often uncomfortable layers of human experience, informed by Lacanian theories. He is also the convener of the Bangalore Lacanian Cartel.
