Psychotherapy and Psychological Interventions

At Fiendish® Therapy, Dr. Jaiyant Cavale provides both brief and long-term psychotherapy as well as other psychological interventions for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. His clinical approach integrates classical psychoanalytic theories with learning, behavioural, and cognitive principles. He is also informed by Western philosophy, existentialism, and absurdism. All clinical work is firmly grounded in the biopsychosocial model, giving due importance to biological, psychological, and social/contextual factors. This integrative stance allows for a nuanced understanding of each individual’s difficulties.

Prospective clients usually begin with an initial consultation and, where indicated, a comprehensive assessment to facilitate appropriate treatment planning. Psychological interventions emphasise psycho-education, self-observation, self-awareness, and the development of a healthier internal dialogue and self-regulation. The therapeutic goal is often to encourage the gradual emergence of a more coherent and functional internal dialogue. Symptom reduction, where it occurs, is secondary to deeper structural change in personality organisation and defensive patterns.
